Catherine specializes in representing associations, nonprofit organizations and educational clients in the buying and leasing of office space, as well as classrooms, auditoriums, computer labs, wet labs, libraries and conference space in the Washington/Maryland/Virginia region. Catherine works confidentially with dentists and physicians to place their practices in target markets as well as negotiating with current landlords on renewals.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Catherine has been licensed in real estate for over 20 years. She has over 17 years of experience managing operations, new construction expansion and renovations of over 200,000 square feet of leased and purchased buildings for the Arts & Sciences Division of Johns Hopkins University. As Assistant Dean for Finance and Operations her responsibilities included working collaboratively to build out space for 12 graduate programs, 80 staff and over 350 full-time and adjunct faculty offering programs in DC, Montgomery County, MD, and Baltimore. Catherine has considerable experience working with architects, principals, real estate brokers, building managers, security staff, general contractors, and vendors. Catherine’s experience gives her a keen understanding for fully utilizing leased or owned space which is important to the bottom line. She has managed budgets in excess of $25M.
Additionally, Catherine brings value added experience to clients having implemented emergency management and business continuity plans.
